The launch of the 40 Days for Life a success!
500 people attended the launch of "40 Days for Life" which was held on Parliament Hill on September 23. Thereafter, there was a vigil in front of avortuaire. You can here in watch video clips .
Angelina Steenstra was among those who addressed the crowd. His testimony was very touching. As a teenager, she was raped and she underwent an abortion. Because of this experience, she abused alcohol and drugs and adopted behaviors harmful to repress his hatred for herself and her feelings of guilt.
She said that ultimately, what was released, it's the truth: She has confessed to killing her child. She needed to forgive and forgiveness: forgiving the man who raped her, people who told him to have an abortion, and the company has put pressure on her to end her pregnancy.
I relay this testimony because very often the pastors and others are afraid to tell the truth for fear that they or they hurt women. They do not understand that denying them the truth about abortion, they deny them the very thing they need to find peace in their soul. We do not want to be harsh with them. God knows they are often quite tough on themselves. But we must communicate. To receive the grace of forgiveness, we must confess his sin.
I hope you can attend the vigil at the abortion clinic on Bank Street. If you want get involved in the cause of life, call Campaign Life at 613-729-0379.
