SOUL

Hebrew: Nephesch. Greek: psyche
This word has sometimes the sense of: Being the life of people.

Old Testament


Genesis 2. V 7: Its creation has the image of God.
Deuteronomy 28. V 28 + 65 to 67: The psychological consequences of disobeying God's law for Israel.
1 Kings 17. V 21-22: Death and resurrection (his soul is returned to him). Physical death occurs when the soul leaves the body.
Psalm 31 V 10 & 11: psychosomatic illness (the body is sick due to soul).

New Testament

Matthew 11. V 29: Rest of the soul is found only in the Lord. Matthew
12. V 18: God has a soul (obviously since He made us in his image).
Matthew 16. V 26: It is invaluable, since it was bought by God at the cost of the soul of her only son and beloved (life for life).
Mark 14. V 33 & 34: Jesus experienced the sadness of death in his soul. It is therefore the only one who can heal us of our anxieties.
Philippians 2. V 1-3: Friendship is the relation of mind which must exist in the local church congregation.
Hebrews 6. V 19 to 20: Our soul is anchored in Christ, never to be tossed in all directions by the tests life and the deceitfulness of men. Jacques

Some shocks that may traumatize our soul


Being: rejected, abandoned, raped, beaten unfairly, discredited, humiliated publicly, overprotected.
Having attended the arguments of his parents, parental alcohol or sexual perverts.
Having suffered a bereavement, disability, illness, divorce of his parents, racism,
